As another year comes to a close, I wanted to pause for a moment and say thank you.

Thank you for opening these weekly newsletters.
Thank you for asking thoughtful questions.
Thank you for subscribing to the podcast, sharing episodes, commenting on posts, and quietly following along—even when you don’t always engage.

None of that is lost on me.

This space exists because of a shared love for our dogs. A deep, sometimes overwhelming, always motivating love. I know I’m not alone in that. If you’re here, it’s because you want to do right by the dog (or dogs) sleeping at your feet, hogging your bed, or staring at you while you read this. 🐾

What many people don’t realize is that this—Raw Feeder Life, the newsletter, the podcast, the social posts—is truly a glorified hobby. A passion project rooted in love and curiosity. When I first started learning about raw feeding and holistic pet health, I was so overwhelmed that I nearly gave up. The information felt endless. The opinions were loud. And the fear of “doing it wrong” was paralyzing.

Walking away would have been easier… but it would have been detrimental to my dogs.

What changed everything for me were people—kind, patient humans who were willing to share their knowledge and experiences without judgment. People who remembered what it felt like to be new and confused. Because of them, I stayed. I learned. I kept going.

Over the years, I’ve figured out how to manage my dogs’ diets in a way that helps them truly thrive—and I’m able to do that because of this community. Because of shared conversations, respectful disagreements, science, curiosity, and a whole lot of love for our dogs.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, unsure, or like you’re “not doing enough,” please know this: you’re not alone—and you’re doing better than you think.

As another year passes, I’m filled with gratitude for this community we belong to. Thank you for trusting me, learning alongside me, and being part of something rooted in compassion and care.

Wishing you and your dogs a Merry Christmas, a Happy Holiday season, and a peaceful close to the year. May the next one bring health, learning, and lots of wagging tails. ❤️ God bless you all.

With gratitude and prayers,
Kimberly
